Some things in life just go together. Hot toast and butter. Wine and crisps. Drunk people and questionable kebabs. It just works. I think stripy tops and boyfriend jeans fall into this category. I got this Cos top shortly after I had my daughter (now 2) arrived, so it’s too big really, but I’m loath to get rid of it as unlike so many stripy tees out there it is proper, printer paper white. Not parchment or ivory or stone. So much better for my skin tone. So if you see any white based Bretons on your travels, do shout me, so I can put this one out to pasture!
Well, to all my London readers – wasn’t it a beautiful day? And to everyone else, I hope it was as nice where you are!
I wore this outfit for a bit of light shopping (ostensibly for Mr TMT’s birthday tomorrow, but I slipped in a few bits for myself, which you’ll see in future posts). I bought the jeans on a quick sales dash to Gap after work on Thursday, having tried them on previously. Due to my husband’s handiwork, this isn’t the most flattering shot (though my hair looks shampoo-commercial ready) but they look better in real life, and are very comfortable. They also go nicely with my rapidly expanding collection of slipper flats. I went matchy-matchy with my bag and top (my secret shame, I do like a bit of co-ordination on the sly) as the emerald felt like the perfect colour for a bright Spring day. Here’s to much, much more of the same…

Happy weekend everyone! I’m looking forward to two days in the company of my family, and a nice meal out with Mr TMT later.
First though, I’m out running some tedious errands – in fact, I’m coming to you live from Wimbledon sorting office. The. Glamour.
Today I’m debuting the Next jersey biker I blogged about here. I really, really love it! Very cosy and a great shape. If you’re fancy it do size down though – I got the 8, and I can never shoehorn my ample bosom into a size 8 jacket so this is definitely a generous fit!
I also dug out an old pair of skinny flares from c.2008 and I’m actually liking the look (though I can’t quite believe how low the rise is!) They work well with my wedge trainers and make a nice change from skinnies.
So, something old, something new, how about something new and blue? Well the beanie is a gorgeously soft chunky Scottish cashmere knit bought from eBay, which arrived today. I’m really pleased with it!
